On the first Tuesday of November the nation stopped to watch Steriline Racing gates start the 2017 Melbourne Cup.

The race was started from the one of a kind 25 stall starting gate for the eighth consecutive year.

This year saw Rekindling, a Lloyd Williams horse, take out the cup, with Lloyd commenting

"An absolute dream. I am so thrilled."

It was jockey Corey Brown’s second cup win.
